Users can use the existing PVICOM.lib and create browse functionality(Example: [GitHub - hilch/brsnmp: Execute PVI-SNMP commands for B&R plcs](https://github.com/hilch/brsnmp)). If necessary, users can also use third-party SNMP browsing software to browse for a B&R PLC(Example: [SnmpB download | SourceForge.net](https://sourceforge.net/projects/snmpb/)).

[GitHub - hilch/brwatch: brwatch: service tool for B&R plc: watch, change, log variables, set ip adresses etc.](https://github.com/hilch/brwatch) can do this, too (with GUI).

brwatch \> 2.x is now linked with PVI6 and includes an improved dialog to scan for CPUs:

Beside SNMP also TCP port scan is used.
