Hello

I’m converting a project from AS4.11 to AS4.6.

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/brcommunity/original/2X/4/4798be360912dfcd2db4c41aeb3b3e7f3239f411.png)

Is there a way to know the cause of the not possible upgrade?
In the output log there is no information.

Thank you
Marco Sartori

You first need to upgrade the project to AS 4.12 to be able to upgrade it to AS 6.

In the help there are detailed steps to follow for the conversion between 4.12 and 6

OK, Thanks - No other way? 😃
Downloading and installing AS4.12, upgrades is a very long procedure.

Not automatically.

You could manually do things, most of the source code in text based languages can be imported and exported and should work (note the changes in libraries). However all graphical POUs and configuration files etc… You would have to recreate manually.

So depending on the project size and complexity You need to decide, which would take less time.

You could try to change the version in the .apj file to 4.12. Just a quick try / hack if you want. If you don’t use version control, make sure to backup 😉
