Dear everyone, In current project, I met some problems with hardware configuration for mappSafety. As the System designer image below, I created: - 4PPC650 for HMI and PLC function (2 in one device) - X20BC1083 connects to 4PPC650 via POWERLINK for I/O modules - X20SLX806 connects to X20BC1083 via X2X (like I/O modules) I followed manual for mappSafety configuration and there is no error when building the project. But when I download this project to Target (4PPC650), there are two errors with hardware (I guess so). These errors are shown on the 2nd image. And I also could not connect to SafetyPLC via Ethernet port on 4PPC650 (I used this port to online and download project to 4PPC650). Please let me know either this hardware structure I’m using for this project is OK for Safety function or not? And if this is still fine, please support me to fine something wrong in my configuration. Hi, I can’t verify it right now as I’m already away from keyboard, but as far as I remember the PPC650 platform is only supported by Safety+, but not with mappSafety. Maybe someone else here in the Community can confirm it (or that I’m mistaken)? Best regards! ---

that’s correct, at the moment SLX (mappSafety) is not supported on PPC650. Plus X20SLX806 doesn’t support Safety+. Ciao Valerio ---

Thank you so much for your explanation. With CPP650, could I change to use X20SLX806-1 instead of X20SLX806? I read on website and found out that X20SLX806-1 supports Safety+. However I 've ordered X20SLX806 and CPP650. Is there any method to use X20SLX806? Thank you so much, Kiet Nguyen. ---

Hi, yes, you could use X20SLX806-1 with PPC650 and Safety+ and Automation Studio 6. The X20SLX806 of course can still be used with mappSafety and all PLCs supporting mappSafety, for example X20CP… but unfortunately PPC650 doesn’t suppport mappSafety, so in combination with this PLC the X20SLX806 cannot be used.
