Node number not recognised

On one of our systems (PP500 series) in the Field, the INA communication is not working anymore.

Should be communicate through node number 4, but in the software and remotely when connecting to the SDM diagnosic, I noticed Node Number = 0??

Can I conclude that the PLC is defect?

Hello,

The node number in the SDM-System General-Operational Values section should show the position of the node number switch. I can’t test on the HW right now if it’s really true for the PP500. Are you sure it was working before? Are switches properly seated? You can try power cycling the PP500. Are there any errors in the logger?

You can create a System Dump for further analysis and either upload it here or contact the local B&R support office.

Hi Harry,

please note that the node number switches are read only once when the panel is turned on. If you’ve changed them, you’ll need to perform a power cycle (briefly turn it off and then back on).

Thanks for all information. Seems to be an hardware problem. The customer has repaired the panel localy and now it is working again.
