Hi guys

Does anyone know if it is possible to plug a license dongle into a P3 drive system?
We deliver optional axes to the client and need licenses for this, and don’t want to tell the support to add a license manually onto the main dongle plugged into the APC.

Thanks
Patrick

Hello,

According the [help](https://help.br-automation.com/#/en/4/hardware%2Fmaacpp3%2Fkapitel_technische_daten%2Fubersicht_anschlussbelegungen.html) (see note 4) to X9 connector) it’s not possible.

Hey Pavel
Thanks for the swift answer.
I guess I then need a different approach to licensing management.

Have a great day
Patrick

Hi,

I want to add: While the port uses an USB connector, it’s not a USB interface at all in regards to the signals going through there. This is the reason for the limitation to only using the display - it’s using the same interface.

Best regards
