The DTM for '5ACPCI_XPNM_00' was not found

Hi Guys,

i don’t know what happend on my PC but suddenly i can’t use the 5ACPCI_XPNM.00-Profinet Master PCI Card.

When i try to insert it to the PCI slot of my APC the error message from the screenshot appears.

How can this problem be solved. I already reinstalled the Automation Studio but this didn’t help.

When i go to the Manage-3rd-party-devices-dialog and update the DTM catalog i get the following messages:

Thank you very much.

Steffen

Hi @Steffen_Herderich ,
Have you installed the latest DTM version 2.1.1.2?

=====================================================================

Same issue on my PC, AS 4.12.9.18 SP (OS: Windows 11) with admin right.

=====================================================================

I have an APC with 1PCI slot, I see my 5ACPCI_XPNM_00 module, but when I tried to connect that card to PCI slot:

I got the error below

I did a test with AS 3.0.81 and I was able to configure the module:

I got a warning that DTM was not installed and it asked me to create a new one, I said yes and I see in the configuration view that dtm file:

=====================================================================
When I tried to open that prj with AS 4.12 I got this error during conversion:

=====================================================================
I have reported the issue to our Support, I’ll update you once I have an update.

=====================================================================
on my PC at the moment I can configure your card only with AS 4.2.4.149 + 5ACPCI_XPNM_00 hw upgrade 1.2.0.2 + DTM 1.7.3.1

Ciao
Valerio

Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled the whole Automation Studio (6.5.2.12 SP) but that didn’t help.

Before that, I reinstalled the DTM 2.1.1.2 from the website B&R DTM | B&R Industrial Automation

I tried to open an old project with AS4.12 where also a Profinet card is in use.

AS4.12 shows the same behaviour as AS6 with my new project.

Something is wrong on my PC. On other machines I can open the projects without problems…

Hello,

please try this as it seems your DTM is damaged

  1. deinstall DTM completly from the PC using the “apps” of Windows:
  2. ensure nothing from Hilscher is still installed (check for “DTM” and “hilscher” in the apps)
  3. delete the folder “SYCONNet” from C:\ProgramData
  4. Delete the folder “Hilscher GmbH” from C:\Program Files (x86)
  5. take a look at the Registry (“regedit”) if Hilscher got deleted within “Computer
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Hilscher GmbH”
    → “Device Library” and “DTMs” and “GenericSlaveDTM” should be gone
  6. grant the user FULL Admin Rights
  7. Reinstall latest DTM from our homepage
    → This time the registry should contain Device library and DTMs:
  8. If above visible entries are NOT here the installation failed (please note that the amount of “kryptic”
    entries can vary but at least a few must be available)
  9. Start AS and the errors should be gone (probably you have to delete the NetX card and reenter it
    again)

Thank you very much. Problem is solved :partying_face:

Great to hear that ! Thanks for the feedback :slight_smile:

Thanks Oliver!
Now I can configure that card on my AS 4.12.9 too

Glad to hear that Valerio !

Hello,

I have the same issue. Follow your points. And now I get this pop up

Hi @Erkan_Birol ,
I did a search with AI and I don’t think the message is related to Automation Studio:
“Insert the ‘CX Common Tools’ disk” is an error message that typically appears when installing or updating OMRON CX-One, a comprehensive software suite used for programming and configuring OMRON PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation components.

This message means the installer cannot locate necessary shared components (like CX-Integrator, CX-Designer, or CX-Protocol) that are part of the CX-One package.

What This Means & Why It Happens

  • Missing Installation Media: The installer requires the original DVD-ROM or ISO file to be inserted/mounted to pull additional files.

  • Interrupted Installation: The installation process was interrupted, or the installer files were moved after the installation started.

  • Virtual Drive Issue: If installing from an ISO image, the virtual drive may have been unmounted by the system.

    How to Fix It

  1. Insert/Mount the Media: If you are using a DVD, re-insert it. If you are installing from downloaded files, ensure the CX-One ISO image is still mounted as a virtual drive.

  2. Point to the File Location: If the error provides a file path, browse to that location within the setup folder (usually labeled “Common” or “CX-Common”).

  3. Copy Setup Files Locally: Copy the entire contents of the disk or ISO file to a local folder on your computer (e.g., C:\OmronSetup), and run the setup.exe from there.

  4. Run as Administrator: Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as administrator” to ensure the installer has permission to access all files.

  5. Clean Installation: If the error persists, you may need to use a cleaner tool (like CX-Remover) to remove the broken installation and start again.

===============================
Is it possible that you have uninstalled a package related to OMRON?
I hope it helps
Ciao
