I had the same request. Unfortunately, my product request was rejected.
“It’s technically feasible, but currently not possible due to other priorities.”
Perhaps something will happen in the future.

I’m not a user of this type of widget, but as there is the WDTC to create custom widget!
What exact type of customization you are talking about? Changing the layout?
