LAST CALL: AI & Agentic Engineering in Industrial Automation Webinar

HI BRCommunity :sun:

You keep hearing about AI and Agentic Engineering everywhere.

But maybe you’re still wondering:
Where should I start?
Will AI replace automation engineers?
Do I need a specialized AI platform from my automation vendor?
Short answer: No, with B&R

At B&R, openness has always been part of the DNA. Our text-based project architecture and engineering environment make it possible to work with virtually any AI tool, any agent framework, and any LLM model.

The real question is not which AI to use.

It’s where can AI save you time today?

For example:
• Taking over a project you didn’t create? Let an AI agent analyze the project structure, identify dependencies, and help you build a plan before touching a single line of code.

• Not sure about code quality? Use an AI agent to review your own code or code written by a colleague and get improvement suggestions, consistency checks, and best-practice recommendations.

• Troubleshooting an issue? Upload project files, loggers, diagnostics, and documentation. AI agents can compare findings against official documentation, identify inconsistencies, and help uncover potential root causes faster.

And that’s just the beginning…you are limited only by your imagination.

AI isn’t replacing automation experts.
It’s amplifying them.
The engineer remains the expert. AI becomes the team of assistants working alongside them.

Morning session is finished. Afternoon session will start soon, so there is still time to join. My colleague @phaehnel will shortly introduce you to the theory related to AI and Agentic Engineering and also show you a live demo developing the sample project LiftBox, covering planning, logic, visualization, motion, and error fixing. In 45 minutes, you cannot expect details, but it is a nice overview of what you can do nowadays. For others who can not join, I will share link to recoding here in Community as well as Q&A. See you there

Is there a recording of the session? I couldn’t attend due to unforeseen reasons.

Yes, link to recording as well as Q&A will be shared in upcoming days. I will also post it here in community.

Transcription from the webinar and the link to the recording can be found here.

It asks for a login, but my B&R login does not work.
Why do I need a login in general to watch a video?

Hi,

the login is not the B&R login, but the registration login from the platform where the event was hosted.

I’m not sure if it’s the only / easiest way, but you get access to the recording by just registering as like it was necessary to join the live event.

  • Click “Register”, fill out the data of the registration form + “Save and continue”
  • the following popup (for “slot reservation”) can just be closed by “done”, no need to choose a dedicated slot.
  • The system responds with the verification message - you’ll get immediately a mail to the mail address used in the registration form.
  • In the verification mail, choose “Complete your signup”
  • You’re directly forwarded to the event → the Event description headline starting with “Watch on demand Recording: …” is the link to open the video.
  • Video can be watched now

Why is an access needed?
Honestly spoken I don’t know the exact reasons, but I could imagine it’s because B&R wants to ensure some privacy & integrity agreements with the user (by filling out the registration form), maybe combined with some other technical reasons like preventing crawlers & grabbers from producing unwanted traffic.

Best regards!
