MCR Performance Analyzer

Introduction

The MCR Performance Analyzer helps you identify the right robot for your application before investing time in engineering and commissioning. By simulating real robot motion based on your throughput, reach, and payload requirements, you can quickly compare robot configurations and validate performance.

Powered by the same B&R PLC and trajectory planning technology used in actual machine operation, the tool delivers realistic simulation results and detailed performance insights. Visualize robot movements in 3D, analyze motor and gearbox loads, and evaluate throughput with configurable tooling and payloads.

Simply define your application, start the simulation, and review the results. When a robot configuration meets your requirements, you can order it directly using the displayed order code.

The MCR Performance Analyzer is available as a free download. Simulation runtime is limited to two hours, matching the standard constraints of a simulated project environment.

Getting started

Installation

  • Administrator rights are required
  • Execute installation file
  • Use the suggested directory or specify another one
  • Install Scene Viewer and Codian Plugin

Start MCR PA

  • Start the MCR PA in the Windows start menu (‘B&R Automation\MCR Performance Analyzer’)

Default project and robot

  • Codian D4-ST21-1100-R11 with default static pick and place cycle

Integrated Tooltips

Clicking the ? icon in the top right corner of the UI the mappView tooltips are enabled and all elements / widgets holding tooltip information will display now also a ? icon displaying details when clicked.

Compatibility Notice v6.4.0

If you previously used an older version of the MCR Performance Analyzer, especially with the MpPick use case, parameter files created with that version may no longer be fully compatible. In some cases, the file may not load at all; in others, only part of the configuration may be imported.

To continue using the project, you can recreate the configuration using the new conveyor tracking solution or if your project is particularly complex or business-critical, please contact us for assistance.

We have an internal migration tool that can convert older projects to the current format and significantly reduce the effort required to update existing configurations.
