Accidentally transferred secure ANSL (port 11179) to X20 EM1611

Trying to set up users and roles for mappCockpit and transferred a version that uses secure ANSL on port 11179. But now I cannot connect the hardware to Automation Studio.

I set the online settings to use port 11179, I tried added the flag /ANSL=1, I tried giving it the user and password, nothing I do allows me to connect the hardware.

I can definitely see the X20EM1611 on the network at its IP address, and port 11179 is open. Port 11169 is not open.

Please help, my PLC is bricked until I solve this.

You can set the X20EM1611 to Boot mode using a physical button on it and it will boot without your project settings, as if it was blank from factory allowing you to transfer a new program to it.

The button is marked with the number 3 in this picture.

Boot mode is enabled by the following button sequence:
Press the button for less than 2 s.
Then press the button within 2 s for longer than 2 s.

Yes, I forgot to mention that I tried that. It boots up, but it still talks on port 11179 and won’t connect in Automation Studio. I also tried to get a USB stick to program the PLC but that doesn’t seem to work either. It is always talking on Port 11179 and even if I set that port in Automation Studio (online settings), I can’t connect.

UPDATE! I tried it exactly as you wrote: one click, then a long click within 2 seconds. Now I am connected!

THANK YOU.

Hi,

if port 11179 is used, normally that means that ANSL uses SSL/TLS security.
In that case, you have to provide the SSL configuration, that you’ve configured for ANSL in the CPU settings, additionally also in the online settings.
Please see here in the line “SSL/TLS Config File”:

Best regards!
