Does anyone was successful connecting to a B&R PLC with Teltonika VPN Routers.
When adding a VPN route in the Teltonika configuration, the Router goes into scanning mode of the network, somehow all devices appear but the B&R PLC.
I have tried adding the route manually, which is possible, but it seems that something blocks the connection to the PLC, I don’t if it comes from the Router or the Panel PC.
To add to Valerio’s response, there is a list of ports used by different features in the Help. The default TCP port used for ANSL communication (connection between Automation Studio and the PLC) is 11169, so that port will need to be open if you plan to connect with Automation Studio. The others you can block/unblock depending on what you plan to do with the connection.
small note (not related to the post) about point 2) You are using new hw but you have configured an old 1.1.0.0 hw upgrade, the latest one 1.2.1 introduces the support for multicore load balancing. Just let you know in case you need that feature you have to select 1.2.1.0 hw upgrade:
Thanks Valerio and Alexander, still have the same issue, start to think it is a parameter in the router. I will put a call in tomorrow with Teltonika to see if we can resolve the issue.
For some reason I can’t explain, the issue came from Teltonika subnet setup. Like you see in the picture, PLC ip:192.168.1.10, PLC subnet: 255.255.255.0.
