In connection with audit trailing, there is an important change that needs to be considered when updating to AS6.
Automation Studio 4.X
In AS4.X, it was possible to individually enable the individual OpcUa variables that are to be recorded in the audit trail via the “Auditing server facet” in the OpcUa uad-files.
Automation Studio 6.X
This option no longer exists in Automation Studio 6.X.
This means that if the auditing server facet is activated, EVERY OpcUa variable that is enabled and changes is recorded.
For example: If the activity counter of a client is transmitted to the application via OpcUa, every touch action is recorded in the audit trailing.
Workarounds
There is currently no equivalent solution to that of Automation Studio 4.X.
Two possible workarounds are:
- Registration of the variable in the application code using MpAuditRegPar
- Selecting the variable in the variable monitor list of the AuditTrail configuration
