mappView Numeric Input – Changing decimal and thousand separators

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum and currently getting started with mappView.
I have a question regarding the Numeric Input element:

Is there a way to change the display format for decimal and thousand separators?
By default, it shows “,” as the thousand separator and “.” as the decimal separator, but I’d like to have it the other way around – that is, no thousand separator at all, and “,” as the decimal separator (following the standard German number format).

I’ve already looked through the properties and format settings but couldn’t find an option to modify this directly.
Does anyone know if this can be configured in mappView (for example via locale settings, format strings, or binding options)?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards

Hi Stefan,

I’m also missing this feature in AS4. As far as I know, it was introduced in mappView 6.1.

It probably needs to be activated in the TextConfig.

ok, thanks for the info! Good to know it’s only available starting with mappView 6.1. Unfortunately, our company won’t upgrade to AS6 for quite a while.
Best regards,
Stefan
