Partial linking of monitoring elements

Hi everyone,

on B&R Online Help there is a section “Partial linking of monitoring elements” that says

It is also possible to use aggregate data type “McPathGenMonitoringElementsType” from library McPathGen. The variable for this data type provides an instance of each monitoring element provided, although it is not essential for every data point to be used.

However, I fail to find McPathGenMonitoringElementsType anywhere in McPathGen or even my entire project.

So is this a typo, or am I just holding it wrong?

Hello,

I have checked MappMotion 6.7.0 and MappMotion 5.30.1. In both Versions there is no McPathGenMonitoringElementsType available. It may have been existed once in the past, i will create a request for B&R to check this Section in AS-Help.

Meanwhile you can create your own Struct in an Application Type-File.

In an typical application only some Monitoring elements are used, and it helps to save ressources (Memory) to only add them to the structure.

Update 11.5.2026 - Feedback from B&R Support:
AS-Help will be updated in mappMotion V6.8.
The data type McPathGenMonitoringElementsType doesn’t exists any more.
