This application can be implemented through various functions. The most promising candidates, in my opinion, are VF BLOB and VF Matching. These involve evaluating the position of a predefined pattern, for which a model must be created through learning. You can find more information about these functions here:

If you have Automation Studio, you can install mapp Vision package and try it directly in Automation Studio with Offline HMI.
The specific use cases are in printing machines or, more broadly, packaging industry machines (winder machines), where it is necessary to control overprinting or the proper centering of wound material.
A concrete application where this has been deployed should be communicated with B&R’s sales.
