I understand that Enumerations are technically DINT internally, but sometimes Automation Studio’s Watch Window fails to interpret it as the Enumeration, sometimes it manages to do so.

Any idea why this is happening or under what conditions it could happen? How can we avoid this or reduce the occurrence?
P.S. this is Automation Studio 4.12

First, I’d recommend upgrading to the latest Service Pack of Automation Studio v4.12, which is currently v4.12.8.41. If you are using AS v4.12.4 or earlier, then you will need to download and reinstall AS v4.12.6. It’s not possible to upgrade across the v4.12.4 - v4.12.5 divide.
If you are still having issues with the latest AS v4.12.8, I’d recommend getting in contact with your local B&R office to report the issue. Any information you can gather about when you see the issue, what changes you are making when you see it, and how often it occurs is helpful in isolating and resolving any bug.
