Hello @Jochen_Hufnagel have you been able to solve this topic based on the response from @michael_w ? If so, please mark it at solution accordingly.
Thanks!
No it is not solved since now
Hello @Jochen_Hufnagel,
unfortunately this reply does not help finding out, why exactly my reply didn’t help. Please elaborate
Thanks
I have tried to install the software above. But when I test it with lmp -v I get this message –>

I also asked loupe directly, but I haven’t got an answer till now.
Hi @Jochen_Hufnagel,
as I wanted to play around with websocket but I also wasn’t able to use lpm because of some IT restrictions, I tried to build a test project out of the sources provided via Github.
As my C knowledge is “not the best” (and that’s putting it mildly
), I struggled a bit, but in the end I got a running demo in simulation.
Long story short: the attached AS4.12 project contains the Loupe libraries needed + a extremely simple demo just trying to open a websocket + exchanging data via browser and PLC (please see the PDF inside the project for details how to test it).
I also have seen that the’re some “special functions” used which are not part of Automation Studio libraries, but looking like as they are from B&R (at least I think so, I’m not sure!)
So right now, I don’t think that this project would be upgradable to Automation Software 6 without having these libraries in the right format or some successor of them. But unfortunately I haven’t more information about that, and I hope that Loupe will somewhen upgrade their libraries to AS6 also?
That’s all what I can report here: I haven’t digged deeper into the functionality of websockets in common, the library implementation and how it works, how to deal with the interfaces, and so on (unfortunately it doesn’t look like that I’ll have the time for doing more with it in near future; “unfortunately” because it looks pretty interesting!)
Nevertheless, maybe it helps you to get an impression!
Have a nice weekend, and best regards!

I think there is a package “requests” is missing. Maybe link below can help:
I’m plan to try on Loupe library but not have time yet. I will say it need some software engineering skill to understand it.
Good Morning Alex,
thank you very much for your help.
I will test the your program soon in a live application.
Will you be at the SPS exhibition this year ?
Best regards
Good morning,
I’m not the whole time at SPS this year, but I’ve planned to be there on wednesday at the B&R booth.
Best regards!
Hi @Jochen_Hufnagel , please update us when you finish your test. and also please do not forget to mark the reply that helped you the most as a solution. Happy SPS ![]()
