5158: err_loader_do_relocations

Hello,

There is an active machine in the field. The machine gives error 5158 on startup. Despite restarting the CPU, the error does not go away. But reloading the project fixes the issue. Cpu used “5PPC2200_AL02_000”. This error occurs very rarely. Every 3-4 months.

What do you think could be the reason?

I think we would need more information

  • where this error is shown.
  • is the PLC in SERV then ? Is this error attended by other messages ?
  • is this a HMI message, a logger message or … ?
  • what does ‘reloading the project’ mean ? Create a new flash ?
  • what does ‘startup’ mean ? Powering on the control or powering on the complete machine ? powering on axes ? etc.

If this message was found in logger then a SystemDump could be helpful.

This error is in the logger.
Yes, PLC is in service.
Yes I’m talking about creating a new flash?
The error comes while the whole machine is rebooting.
There is a logger, I can share it with you if you want.

did you also explicitely exchange the CFast card or just flash the project to the same?

Since this seems a bit strange and it occurs after some time, it might be an issue with your CFast card? Only thing that comes to mind right now…

The problem is not with the cfast card. The same problem has not been encountered for a long time.
