Does the CFcard used in the 400 power panel contain all the programs that run on the power panel? or just keep some daily log data? because I experienced damage to the 400 power panel and want to replace it with a 400 power panel too, can moving the CFcard automatically run on the new 400 power panel?
Hi,
The CF card contains all data, including operating system, programs and so on.
Best regards!
So I just have to buy a 400 power panel of the same type and insert the CFcard which previously had a program and it can run normally, right?
Or if I want to repair this device myself without buying a new one, there are no problems with the previous program? because there is component damage that causes it to not turn on

Right, but it has to be the exactly similar system = identical order code

It depends. As long as no core components are exchanged that are hardware/firmware incompatible, it should work, yes.
If you want to let B&R repair the device, of course you can contact your local office to get ore information about.
thank you for your answer
That’s right, as long as you don’t change the memory in the components and change the firmware, there shouldn’t be any problems
Sorry, let me ask again, can I move the program that is installed on CFcard 1 to CFcard 2 by copying and pasting the file from CFcard 1 to CFcard 2?
Hi,
copying single programs or modules is not possible, for project consistency reasons and because of compiled shared ressources (e.g. global variables), they always have to have transferred with Automation Studio using the right project scope.
Making a whole image from a CF card and install it to a second CF is possible by using the image functions out of the Runtime Utility Center tool.
Best regards!
thx for your information
Probably you can exchange the CF-card into another PP400. That should have the same diameter and equipped with the same interfaces. The only losses you may see, are the stored values of process variables of the old system.
