Customer has changed several motors with new (SEW) with PK sensors (PT1000 thermistor). They said the drives do not recognize then. They have EC21 compact controller, I don’t have original application, so very probably I will not be able to fill the resistance/temperature characterstics in the configuration and load it. What chances do we have to make them run? Maybe only to take the old sensors from the old motors and connect them to the drive…?

the question is, what type of motor was originally connected and what type of sensor did that motor have? If a B&R motor was connected, then you could connect a 500 Ohm resistor to the sensor input on the Acopos. However, this could damage the motor because the motor temperature is no longer monitored. The motor would then only be protected by the temperature model calculated by the Acopos.
