Costumer has older machine, with Siemens S7-300 CPU and B&R ACOPOS 8V1045.00-2 regulators. In this configuration these communicate via EC21 embedded controller (7EC021.61-2) acting as CAN/Profibus gateway. They want now to refurbish machine with new ACOPOS P3 regulators but as far as I know, ACOPOS P3 does not have any communication interfaces other than Powerlink. Does anybody know if any such gateway exists?
Youâll need to use a X20 Embedded or Compact processor with appropriate interface card or base. We use to call them smart hubs and just implement a DS402 compatible interface over Ethernet/IP or other protocol.
