A customer is requesting RDP access to an Aprol server (4.2-07 P3). In general, it should be possible to deploy a RDP server on the system. However, we’d appreciate any insights or experiences you might have with remote access in this context.
Let me remark: we’re aware that standard graphical remote access is usually done via a recommended VNC viewer - especially TigerVNC.
However, in this case, the IT department has restricted remote desktop access to UltraVNC or the RDP protocol, which has a native implementation in Windows.
Our own experience with the RDP protocol - particularly with older versions of Aprol - has been rather poor in terms of stability and performance. Has anyone seen improvements in newer versions or found reliable workarounds?
