Hi,
I haven’t read the whole thread to be honest, but for me it sounds a bit like a misunderstanding:
-
as I remember, Visual Components 4 does not support mouse operation at all. VC4 was designed exclusively for use with touch panel hardware, in the AR no mouse support is integrated and cannot be configured.
-
a USB Keyboard can be connected (like you’ve done already), but it’s not acting like a “normal keyboard” - it is more used like a “free configurable bunch of hardware buttons”… if you map key actions of type “input character” to the suitable keyboard buttons, the it more or less behaves like a keyboard … but you can also map other key actions configured inside your VC4 visualization, like “set a variable to a value”, “change page” or so to a keyboard button.
As additional information: a VC4 visualization can also be connected to a VNC server running inside the PLC. If configuring that and connecting to the VNC server using a VNC client on your development notebook, then the mouse of the development notebook can be used to operate the “touch clickable content” inside the VNC client window.
Best regards!
