Automation Studio 6.5.3.11: Error opening upgrade dialog (Service BrUpgrSrvAS6_DevCompiled not found)

Hi everyone,

I am trying to open the upgrades dialog in Automation Studio V6.5.3.11, but I immediately get an error message that blocks the process.

(Translation: Upgrades dialog cannot be opened. The service BrUpgrSrvAS6_DevCompiled was not found on the computer.)

The Windows background service does not seem to exist under this specific name (_DevCompiled).

Has anyone else encountered this bug in version 6.5.3.11? Is there a known workaround or a way to manually register the correct service without having to completely reinstall Automation Studio?

I have attached a screenshot of the error message.

Hi Klaus,

this error is already known and our colleagues are working on it. As far as I know, it only happens in the German version of AS6.5.3. So probably using the English version will be a good workaround.

Hi Klaus,
also running the C:\Program Files (x86)\BRAutomation\AS6\bin-de\regobj.bat as administrator helped in my Case.
This might be a workaround until the problem is fixed.

In my case it also helped to get rid of this error.

Please note that regobj.bat has to be executed as Administrator (context menu)
