Hello
I would like to know if there is the possibility to couple two axis connected to different CPUs (one powerlink CN and the other MN).
In the first one (MN), there is the Master (purely virtual axis), in the second (CN) the axis should be coupled.
I was thinking to use the cyclic position set function block, but I need the solution with the minimum jitter.
Manu thank in advance

Hello,
First of all you should get both PLCs Timers synchronised by the system via setting up the correct System-Timer. Via the Diagnosis Values on PLK IO-Mapping you can then see if both PLCs are Running in Synch.
For a Belt Tracking i once did a Velocity Gearing were i only transmitted the Velocity via the Powerlink and then created my Tracking Value on the 2ten PLC via Application.
I think your description goes more in the way of an actual Position Gearing.
So i could imagin those two settings shown in Picture below. But i’ve never done it yet.
The ACOPOS CamAutomat uses DINT Values as position Source and can handle natural DINT overflows if endless movements occure in application.
Aligned with your Description of MN and iCN
Not Matching your description but with a little less Delay on the Transmittion.
Edit: A construction with the MoveCyclicPosition functionblock can also be used, if there is no need for CAM-Curves and if the Position does not overflow. Because i think to handle the overflow of an continuously positive running PureVax could be more difficult to handle in LREAL.
Greetings
Michael
