Dear B&R Community 
We’re excited to introduce our latest MCP server - this time for the B&R Community forum itself!
The idea is to bring all the community knowledge and discussions directly into GitHub Copilot agents (or any other AI tool that supports MCP).
The server uses the official Discourse API to connect to the B&R Community forum, allowing your AI assistant to search topics, find solutions, and retrieve detailed post information.
The server can be hosted in either a Docker container or via UV.
The MCP Server offers tools for:

Searching topics and posts across the entire forum

Filtering by category or only showing solved topics

Retrieving detailed topic information with all posts

Browsing categories and their descriptions

Getting the latest discussions or most popular topics by time period (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
This means you can ask your AI assistant questions like “Search the B&R community for mappView widget examples” or “Find solved topics about ACOPOS errors” and get relevant results with direct links to the forum posts.
We’re already using this ourselves in conjunction with the Automation Studio Help MCP Server to get better results when providing customer support - combining official documentation with real-world community solutions.
