Does the node "Root/Objects/DeviceSet/X20BC008T/X2X IF1/Status" of X20BC008T support?

I want to get the information of IO device, for example, wheather new IO device is inserted, wheather IO device is pulled out. But I find the node “Root/Objects/DeviceSet/X20BC008T/X2X IF1/Status” is empty. How can I obtain the information I need in address space?

Hi,

I’ve no practical experience with the device. Therefore I’m not sure about the “Status” node, as I haven’t found any specific information about it; maybe it’s (by now?) just a “default node” in the information model that’s not (yet?) in use.

As far as I understood the data sheet content, to get information about the (changed) X2X network stations you have to call the method “ScanForNewStations” under …/X2X IF1/Configuration/Control" to get an updated X2X modules image, which is accessible then under “…/X2X IF1/SubDevices”.

Link to online help (should contain the same information than the data sheet):

Best regards!

Hi @Marksun , what is status of your issue, can you update us and Help Us Keep the Community Organized?

Hello, Jaroslav
Sorry I didn’t see the reply. I may not have described it clearly before. I’d like to know whether the X20BC008T currently supports actively detecting when a new IO device is inserted. For example, if I plug a new IO device into the X20BC008T, can I receive an event or alarm in UA Export telling me that a new IO device has been inserted?
Best regards!

If a module is already configured but there is different module placed, this can be detected by reading (OPC UA) ProcessData.ModuleID
ProcessData.ModuleID gives ID of plugged module
ModuleID gives ID of configured module

Newly places modules can be detected by calling method ScanForNewStations and subsequent browse SubDevices.

Hello, Corne

I expect that X20BC008T can report actively when a new module is inserted. X20BC008T maybe doesn’t support the function.

Best regards!
