Download and instll Mapp View Technology Package

Greetings All

I am trying to get started with MappView but have hit a roadblock; I followed the help menu tutorial to display 2 pages in a browser and it didn’t work, the browser seems to connect but does not display the pages. i tested the connection by changing the visuId and it threw up an error immediately, when i corrected it, no error.

I saw on a video that there are useful sample projects available by downloading a technology package either through the b&r website libraries section or through github.

Problem 1 - The libraries download section is only displayed after logging in to the b&r website but for whatever reason I cant log in. I have tried different browsers using the same credentials i used to log in here but it always fails saying ‘An error occurred during login.’

Problem 2 - If I go to Github and try to download there - GitHub - br-automation-community/mapp-Framework - i am directed to an ABB_EMU login. When I put in my credentials it displays a message saying access has been blocked as I am not a member of a group with access:

What to do from here? i just want to get started with MappView but did not foresee these issues….

I can access the link you’ve provided and since it’s public repository it’s really strange it doesn’t work for you.

A good starting point is the mapp View Highlight project in my view. A description is in the online help.

Thanks for your reply, as mentioned I am unable to download the technology package to try the sample project. That was my question, how can I access the package with the blocks i mentioned… When you try to download does it take you to ABB log in?

Sorry, I didn’t get it. In general, you install all upgrades (technology packages included) via Tools-Upgrades in Automation Studio, see help. If you can’t download upgrades via Automation Studio (a reason could be you have an Automation Studio resell license), you can download them on the B&R website without login - mapp View 5.24.7 for example - and install them locally.
