DropDownBox showing XX

Hello,

The following Problem occured:

I upgraded from AS4.12 to AS6 and im currently trying to get the Visualisation to work.

I have the problem that the dropdownboxes are showing “XX” instead of the desired value:

This is the configuration in MappView and the individual variable:

I know that I have mostly everything configured the right way.
Because if I remove the Binding for selectedValue and upload it, the it shows the right Value and works without a Problem.
Which means the dataProvider and the binding overall works.

Has anyone an Idea on what I could do to fix this. Thank you in advance.

Here is also a quick view at the attributes in UaExpert if it helps in some way:

There is something not right with the value (Null), but I dont know how to fix it.

Lots of errors to fix, tbh. But I do not see anything there that I would say is related to your problem. You can try to bind this variable to a text field and check that you can see/write the value inside. Another thing to check is to go to the mapView server diagnostic page and check the value as well as record events, etc.

Yes, there a still a lot of problems to fix, since i just got the programm from a colleague.

I haven’t used the “mapView server diagnostic page” how do I reach it exactly, when using ArSim (127.0.0.1)?

Its probably something like this (http://127.0.0.1/mappViewDiagnostics/index.html) but im not sure about the port…

The Status: BadResourceUnavailable are the files that cause the Problem in the described topic.

The ones with BadNodeIdUnknown, are also a problem. But I havent made a ticket for it yet.

yes, that was basically what I was looking for. Do you have role BR_Engineer assigned to active user?

When started it is always the Anonymous role…

The one who is logged in. With OPCUA expert you can test it as well.

When log into UAExpert with example “MainUser” then I still have the NULL value.

But I dont have an Error with the RolePermission like before…

Important is if you can add node to the list, you can see and edit value without error. If I see time stamp, make sure that date and time on PLC side is valid.

Hello,

The PLC time is synchronized with the PC time.
And do you mean with “add a node”, showing the NodeID then of course here is a screenshot from everything:

So problem is not in mappView. OPCUA server is not able to publish node data type properly. Have you opened opcua.uad file? can you share printscreen from there?

I see PParamFileName with datatype STRING. Is this string length dynamic?

I think i found the Problem, trough multiple compares with different projects.
The String “TypeParam.PParamFileName” was used in the PLC but it was commented out.

So the Compiler probably didnt create this variable and the structure behind it.

Now there are is no “XX” displayed anymore.

I just need to find out now, why I cant select anything (The list is empty)

ok, this I did not take into considaration :slight_smile: Then please just follow the procedure, first OPCUA node must be visible without error and proper datatype in UAExpert, then return back to mappView. In mappView visualization logger should not record any error, warning related to node.
