Error -1067317248 / -1067317239(The specified master can't be used for the coupling)

Hi everyone, good day.

Currently I am facing a challenge while trying to perform cam automat.

Firstly I am using X20CP0484 and 2x X20SM1426 stepper module. I would like the g_axis1 to be master and g_axis2 to be slave.

When I am trying to perform non-linear cam automat I am facing error**-1067317248** in the MC_BR_CamAutomatCommand Function Block. Then when I check in the logger the error is -1067317239 which says "The specified master can’t be used for the coupling“.

I am not sure what configuration am I missing, I would like to get some assistance from the B&R community regarding this challenge that I am facing. I have attached a link that have some screenshot of my configuration as a reference.

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Hello,

i can’t access GoogleDrive due to IT Regulations… so it may be possible that i will ask some information which is in the files.

How did you set up your Coupling Master?
a) Did you use the CAM-Axis-Feature in the Configuration View
b) Did you use the Functionblock MC_BR_CamAutomatSetPar

I never got this error so i do not know a common answer. A Stepper Motor should be a valid Master soure.

Greetings
Michael

Hi Michael,

I tried send my screenshots of my project configuration, unfortunately the system says new users can only attach one screenshot.

a) Did you use the CAM-Axis-Feature in the Configuration View

  • Yes I am using CAM-Axis-Feature in my configuration view, where first I create a cam profile inside a .cam file in logical view, then I add the .cam file into .camlist and reference the .camlist into the .axisfeature file in configuration view

b) Did you use the Functionblock MC_BR_CamAutomatSetPar

  • Currently I am not using it, because I am following a training module (TM417TRE.434-ENG_Axis coupling mapp Axis_V3000) and it did not mention that I need that function block to perform the non-linear coupling(Cam automat)

I tried to attached a PDF file that contains the screenshots of my configuration but unfortunately, the system says that new user cannot upload file. Is there any other way/medium that I can attach my screenshot or even my project file?

Thank you

Hello,

@kovarj can you help @Jai_Kumaran to have rights to show files and pictures.

Ok so you do the TM417 an i think you managed to make the parts of MC_GearIn, MC_CamIn and now you are at the part of MC_BR_CamAutomatCommand.
So you have allready lernd most you need to use it.

If you like to use the CAM Automat you need a way to configure it. Thats why i asked which way you went…
a) Did you use the CAM-Axis-Feature in the Configuration View
b) Did you use the Functionblock MC_BR_CamAutomatSetPar

a) You use the Configuration View Axes Feature Cam Automat and set it up with the Axis. It is important to use a Common Type for a Stepper Axis.

b) You do also create the Feature in the Configuration View but you do only fill in the Values during Runtime.

Please let me know if you have this Configuration for the CAM Automat.

Greetings
Michael

Hi Michael**,**

Thank you very much for your suggestion — you were absolutely right!
I managed to perform the GearIn and CamIn successfully.

I used the Cam-Axis-Feature in the configuration view with the Type set to Common. Initially, I hadn’t included the cam automat .axisfeature for my slave axis. After adding that configuration file to the axis feature, everything worked perfectly, and I was able to achieve the intended cam movement.

Thanks again for your help — I really appreciate it!

Hi @kovarj,
By the way, could you please let me know what the requirements are for adding more screenshots, videos, or photos to my post? Do I need to reach a certain number of posts or be active for a specific period of time?

Best regards,

I marked you summary as a solution. If is it not final solution, feel free to change it  regarding your question, community is based on platform discourse and trust level is described here.
