I am experiencing an issue with a B&R CP430 PLC while trying to download a program using Automation Studio. The download process fails with an error message related to the system ROM on the PLC .
To investigate, I checked the available system memory through the Online > Info menu in Automation Studio. However, the information displayed about the memory capacity doesn’t match the expected values (screenshot attached).
Could anyone help me understand the possible reasons for this discrepancy? What could be causing the error, and how can I resolve it?
SG3 CPUs have an older flash technology. You can only delete the flash as a whole. If a download is carried out several times, the old areas are not deleted immediately, but only marked as ‘deleted’.
To delete the SYSROM, you must transfer the AR again. In contrast to the USRROM, there is no separate command to delete the SYSROM.
