I have AS6.0.2.177 installed and i imported a project from AS4.12. When i do the build, everything is fine. Then i clicked "Transfer " and transfer started .Its been more than 2 hours and still it is in the below shown state:
Is there something which needs to be done additionally while transfering? I also tried to reset the PLC and assigned IP manually and then cleaned the project, rebuild and transfer. But still the same. Anybody have any idea what this could be?
It looks like the transfer was finished and it’s just waiting for the PLC to reboot and reconnect. At this point, you can safely close the transfer window because nothing else is being transferred. Then, you can try reconnecting manually.
Do you see the PLC in the browse list at this point? Is it in DIAG or SERV mode?
i closed the transfer window. I was not able to connect as it was offline. Then when i search for it, the PLC lost its IP.
Then i assigned IP and now the PLC is in BOOT Mode
I think you see the problem why it does not reconnect during transfer. Can you try transferring and when it hangs, connect with the second Automation Studio and use the search functionality to check what IP address the PLC has after the restart? If it’s 0.0.0.0, you can use the second AS to manually set the IP address. Your first AS will then finish downloading.. maybe

Thanks for the input. I tried what you suggested. I had to search and connect a couple of times via second AS and then the transfer was successful. But then afterwards the PLC is in SERV mode. and i cannot search and find PLC.
I can Ping the PLC and its reachable.
Why is the PLC in service, you can read from the logger. You cannot search for it because SNMP is very likely deactivated in your project.
Hi Jaroslav, what do you mean by " you can read from logger"? where can i see it? the SNMP is activated. I tried deactivating and activating again and uploaded. The PLC stays in SERV mode.

The only option which i can try at the moment from your thread ( Service Mode - What is it and how to collect diagnostics is System Diagnostics Manager. But that does not work for me. I cannot access the IP as i dont see even the PLC in "online settings anymore "
if you are connected using Automation Studio, you can access logger using AS → OPEN → logger.
