you need to configure the hostname in Ethernet settings as fully qualified hostname, means including domain / DNS suffix

Thanks! I must change in /etc/hosts for the 127.0.0.2 example.adomain example. It is OK but the next step I faced many problems with LDAP and license license 90 days. I did go back to APROL R4.2-07.

If you configure with yast there should not be anything to do manually in the hosts file.
Yes there are a few things new in R4.4-01 but if you follow the documentation you should be fine.

Could you support this again, i only install and configure APROL standalone(engineering/runtime/operator) on the same Control Computer. The different Operator between Net Operator(by VNC), they are the same or actually different?

Thanks
HTT

The operator system is a linux user.
In general, it doesn’t matter if you use it locally or via VNC (or other remote services).

To answer your question; it’s the same.

Dear Ha Tien,

I am also running APROL 4.4-01 on a VM with AutoYaSt SLES 15 SP6. I would appreciate it if you could share your experience with setting up the LDAP server on APROL 4.4-01. I always get an error importing a specific tmp.ldif file and I dont really know the reason why. The 389 DS package is installed and I cant find a solution in the documentation.

thank you in advance for your reply!

Dea Mohamed Aly,

I already went back to APROL R4.2-7.

Regards,
hatien
