Hello,
This depends on the used chipset.
Please see the APCs user manual page 379
MAAPC900_APC910_-ENG_V2.13.pdf
Unfortunatly you only posted the system board whch does not contain the used baseboard/CPU with its chipset
The order number for the baseboard would be (as an example):
As you can see the chipset is a “QM77” which would be supported.
If you own a “TS17” which is a “QM170” chipset then the answer is no
Therefor please take a look which baseboard you own and which chipset this is.
Then compare it with the APCs user manual
Nevertheless I would NOT recommend to use WinXP nowadays as it is obsolete since years and a potential security issue
because this pc for type B&R 5P91:210669.005-00 is obsolete
and I want to find a replacement that can run Windows XP or higher
As mentioned the help states which chipset supports WinXP / Win7 / Win10
I doubt that any “new” PC does support WinXP nowadays
the same as I thought, it’s just that my colleague wants to run Windows XP, either because the application for his work can only run with Windows XP or with higher Windows, logically it might be possible because developers will always think about applications for the long term.
If you have a System board for an APC910 then the only option is the “TS77” base board which is (as far as I know) obsolete.
The newer TS17 does not support WinXP
My colleague uses this type of IPC 5P91.203581.003-00
This is no set number I would recognize - sorry
Are you sure it is the proper number ?
Furthermore may I ask why you do not contact your responsible B&R office ?
This thread seems to be the follow up (with the same or similar questions) like the previous post which got closed:
