What is happening:
After installing mappServices 5.24.6.10 via the Upgrade dialog, it does not appear
in Add Object → Technology Solutions. The error says:
“Unable to load solutions from folder C:\Program Files\BRAutomation4\AS412\AS\TechnologySolutions”
The package installs without errors, and the installer config confirms it installed to:
C:\Program Files\BRAutomation4\AS412
The files appear in TechnologyPackages but not in TechnologySolutions.
Manually copying the mapp folder from TechnologyPackages to TechnologySolutions does not work.
What I have tested:
- Reinstalled mappServices multiple times via Upgrade dialog
- Reset BrUpgrSrvAS412 service and cleared C:\Temp
- Ran AS as Administrator
- Manually copied package folders
- Verified install path in C:\ProgramData\BR\Installer\mappServices_5.24.6.10 config file
Software/hardware:
- Automation Studio 4.12.9
- French Windows (C:\Programmes = C:\Program Files)
- mappServices 5.24.6.10

Here is the screenshot of the error. AS 4.12.9, mappServices 5.24.6.10 installed successfully via Upgrade dialog but does not appear in Technology Solutions.
Hello,
mappServices 5.24.6.10 is a Technology Package and is not usable via Technology Solutions.
There was a change in how mappServices was deployed long ago. Only the very erly versions of mapp where deployed as Technology Solutions. So i could think that you are try to follow an old guide.
For a fresh installed AS4.12.9 this image is absolute normal and correct as we have no pre Installed Technology Solutions. For my System it is the same.
Only after downloading one of these Solutions in the Upgrade Dialog you would have a Technology Solution available. The most know Solution is the Unit Test Framework.
If you want to use the Technology Package you must go to the Configuration View and use the Folder “mappServices” then you can use the Objects from the Toolbox.
If you want to change the used Version later you can do this via, the option Change Runtime Version.
Greetings
Michael
