MC_BR_MoveAbsoluteTrgStop_AcpAx

Hello,

I’m trying now to get MC_BR_MoveAbsoluteTrgStop_AcpAx running.

First I tried it on a virtual axis but I getting directly a message in cockpit:

Should MC_BR_MoveAbsoluteTrgStop_AcpAx be possible in combination with an virtual axis?

I have also a machine available with a P3 drive, the function seems to work, only after the trigger it’s always going in positive direction. I hoped to be able to go in the current direction by changing the input direction to:

I tried al posibilities for direction but going always in positive direction. What can this be?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

regardig the limitation on a virtual axis, I can not provide any input but guessing: The FUB is meant to react on physical state of trigger inputs, which only real axes have. This might or might not be the explanation for why it’s not available for you there. Pure guesswork, though

Regarding your physical drive, the input pretty much depends on your axis configuration:

So the question is, if your axis is set to periodic?

Best regards

Hello Michael, thanks for the quick reply.

About the periodic axis I think your right, I have a linear axis. I think i have to toggle than with the TriggerDistance, make it positive or negative.

To bad we don’t know for sure that the function will not work for a virtual axis. Do you have a source that could confirm that it will not work?

Hello Rene,

this function block does not work for virtual axes.
(The drive firmware does not support trigger stop movements for virtual axes.)

Thanks Martin and Michael for the quick replies! Think my topic is answered!
