Project languages not show up in the tmx editor

Hi,

I am trying to localize the text for the HMI of an application I am developing but I am running into issues. I’ve never done this before so excuse my ignorance.

As you can see when I open my tmx file, LocalizableTexts.tmx I only have en de and fr to select from. I have configured many more languages, see the highlighted ProjectLanguage.

I used the language toolbox in order to add the languages, and I only have one design language selected (english).

I have also created a textconfig file in the configuration view. But I cannot select target langues from there, nothing shows up in the menu.

Does anyone have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

I am using the following versions:

Automation studio: 6.5.3.11

Automation Runtime: 6.78

Visual Components: 6.0.0

mapp Services: 6.7.1

OPC UA C/s: 6.7.0

mapp VIew: 6.7.0
mapp Cockpit: 6.3.1

Thanks in advance.

Hi Albin,

welcome to the community!

Could you please provide a screenshot from the textconfig in the Configuration view?

BR, Samuel

Thank you

Here is a screenshot of the configuration file:

As you can see I cannot select a target language. The tmx file I created shows up however.

we have a post for similar topic and step by step example: Using ArTextSysGetText() with C

I hope it helps

In my case it worked without issues - tested with AS 6.7.0.

I simply added two new project languages to Project.language in LV and it is available in the .tmx files. Maybe delete and add these two files?

That is strange, I have tried to delete and create the files and sadly it did not solve the problem.

I got it to work. The problem was that the projectlanguage was nested in a data object. When I moved it outside it worked. I put it there because I had misunderstood

the automation help.
