Texts in AS6

Hello,

I have problem with localizable texts. When I try to assign text over “system window - picker”, it’s empty! When I write the text directly to propertis, it show text in property ($…). In runtime show text from tmx in all languages right.

I try it before, when I start with project, it’s not show. After 3 times of removing and adding all project languages files, it show dialog correctly. But now it’s empty.

I have another project (older files version) and i’ts show correctly.

I use 6.3.4.31 and all newest packages.

I have exactly the same problem

Since I convert my project from 4.12.8 to 6.5, I lost the text system

I asked the local support (BE), but they don’t have the problem on there PC running same AS6.5

My project converted seems Ok for support.

I un-install / re-install AS6.5 more than 10x using many way (AdminByRequest… IT admin… VM full admin…) but still the same

The strange things, when I compile, I get no error and I get correct display !!!

But now, I can not edit pages !

Can you help me ?

thank you for sharing your experience on this topic. It seems that more and more people are encountering the same issue. Currently, it is still under investigation and being addressed by B&R. I will update this topic as soon as I receive new information.

Additional information:

I install AS6.5 on :

• a VM full admin
• another laptop full admin (private)

The result is the same : no text link

But, during lots of try, i get strange behaviours:

(one time only) When i remove/reinstall “TextSystem” for the 10 times, suddenly, I get the texts appearing !

I close AS6.5, re-open: texts disappears ! … I can not reproduce this !

UPDATE

I think, I found the problem !

When I switch the “OPC UA C/S” runtime version from 6.5.0 to 6.0.0, the text system is back to normal !!

I do the opposite test (6.0.0 => 6.5.0) , the text system FAIL.

Note: you need to close/reopen AS to get the proper result

I do the same test with OPC UA C/S (on Laptop and VM)

6.3.1 => fail

6.4.0 => fail

Back to 6.0.0 => Ok

May be some security/access right change between 6.0.0 and 6.x ??

Some colleagues get exactly the same behaviours ! .. they go back to 6.0.0

Hi,

I know this is a long stretch but could you try the following test.

• Download AS6.5 ZIP file

• Right click on the ZIP file

• Under security check the box in the image

  

• Unzip the file

• Run installation for AS6.5

Sorry the image is misleading because I converted it from german to english with ChatGPT

Version 6.5.0.306 is the latest
