Restoring a legacy machine using a B&R Provit 2000 IPC2001

Hello,

@oliver_D I’m hoping you may be able to help with some very old B&R software.

I am restoring a legacy machine using a B&R Provit 2000 IPC2001 (5C2001.02) running MS-DOS. The original SRAM/FPROM configuration needs to be rebuilt, and I am trying to locate the genuine B&R DOS utilities rather than use substitute software.

The original package I am looking for is:

5S2001.01-090 — Provit 2000 Utilities IPC2001

According to the original B&R documentation, I specifically need:

  • BRSRAM.SYS

  • BRFPROM.SYS

  • BRIMAGE.SYS — v2.50 or newer

  • BRIMAGE.COM — v2.50 or newer

  • BRPCMCIA.SYS

  • BRCOMOFF.SYS

  • BRCMOS.COM

  • BRMODES.COM — v2.10 or newer

An original ZIP/archive or floppy image of 5S2001.01-090 would be ideal.

I would also be interested in either of these if the IPC2001 utility disk is unavailable:

5S0000.01-090 — HMI Drivers & Utilities CD

or

5S2000.01-090 — Provit 2000 Utilities IPC2000, provided it contains BRIMAGE.SYS and BRIMAGE.COM v2.50 or newer.

I already have the machine’s original application/runtime files and am specifically trying to recover the B&R low-level SRAM/FPROM/PCMCIA service utilities.

@oliver_D, if you have an archived copy of this software and could share it with me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
