I try to run scene viewer (V6) with ARSim, but I get always an connection error.
The scene viewer runs in combination with a real CP0848 (over OPC UA) without problems.
I didn’t find any special hints concerning ARSim or did I miss any thing?

I haven’t tried V6 until now, but in general, SceneViewer and ArSim should work.
You’re using OPC UA, right? Is the OPC UA server in ArSim up and running, or do you have any logger entries in ArSim about OPC UA?

do you by chance have another OpcUa server running on the system you are trying to run ARsim and SceneViewer on? By default OpcUa servers run on port 4840 if there is another they create a conflict. So you can either move the ARsim OpcUa server to 4841 or turn off the other one if there is one.
Another issue could be the need for a login but since it works for the CP0848 I don’t think that’s it.
Just a heads up, in In AS 6 you need to have a user with an assigned BR_Engineer role in order to connect to SceneViewer, Anonymous connections are no longer allowed.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.
I don’t know were the issue was, but after the restart of my computer today the OPC UA connection was ok and is running now.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
My feeling is that the ARSim isn’t as stable as the real PLC.
The important thing is that it is running now and that so I’m more independent from hardware.

Meanwhile I made the experience the situation is not stable and not reproducible. Sometimes the OPC UA connection to ARSim runs without problemns sometimes there are timeouts.
I didn’t figura out yet the problem and I think I have to go over the support and then post it here.
