Regarding “Is there any reason not to use Firefox?”: “It is possible to use other browsers (especially on mobile devices). Firefox, Internet Explorer and Edge are known to cause display problems. It is therefore not advisable to use these browsers.” (see B&R Online Help (br-automation.com) )

Using HTTPS indeed seems to help with the issue of embedded visualizations. However, you first need to ensure that the browser accepts the self-generated certificates. So, is it sufficient to change the protocol from http to https? Is it not necessary to create actual certificates and SSL configurations?

So I created an SSL configuration and generated certificates, which I then imported into the browser as trusted. That worked…

You have to use https for both servers an make sure the browser accepts the self-generated certificates. See my last post.
