Software for managing VFD

Hi .
I am going to use P86 VFD as a standalone for a project.
For the P66/P76 there is a “clone” of the SoMove software from Schneider. that can be used to load settings into a standalone VFD.
For the P86 this is not an option, or am I overlooking something?
Best regards
Claus

Hello,

Do you mean ACPi SafeConfigurator? AFAIK, there used to be a pre-release version for P86. Contact a local B&R office for support.

Tried installing and using ACPi SafeConfigurator, it came up with some error messages and froze.
Enabled the built-in web server and did the configuration through there.
Will take a closer look at ACPi SafeConfigurator when there is some time.
Thanks for the help.

It would be great if you update us with your findings.

ACPi SafeConfigurator is a FDT container. The hardware description file type is called DTM. The cross-organisational standard of FDTcontainer and DTMfiles has been supported by Schneider for quite a long time.

The ACPi P66/P76 have been implemented natively to Automation Studio. Hence, the DTM is only required to configure adaptable safety functions. On ACPi P86, we don’t have configure adaptable safety functions. So, maintaining a DTM file for ACPi P86 is not necessary.
However, there is an old version of the DTM for the ACPi P86. If you really think you want this unofficial file, you need to contact the product manager.

In this case I the P86 was as a standalone ( no config in a project).
The project is for retrofit old non B&R inverters.
Therefore the need of installation using a tool.
Found out though, that it was easier to enable the build in webserver, an do the work this way.
