Trigger for Tracing still active after remote access ceased?

Dear all

I’m frequently remote - troubleshooting machines. Therefor I’m
set trigger for recording the NC Trace and trigger for watching
variables from the source .ab - code. This works well as long
there’s a remote connection established.
But this remote connection getting often interrupted, Automation Studio 4.x
goes into “Offline”. Are the trigger, once installed on the hardware, still active?
And are these triggers getting activated while offline, the collected datas
can be downloaded after re-establish the remote connection?

I personally have no practical experience with motion.
But I’m pretty sure: yes, if the trace configuration is already installed (a trace is installed directly in the drive), then accessing data after a loss of connection is still possible:
