My company is using HMI 4PP015.0420-36. We buy a new one for backup. We use Automation studio v4.10 to backup hardware and software through RS232 cable.
We can make new project by “Identify hardware configuration online”, and hardware information is read as below:
Model number: 4PP015.042-36
Description: Power Panel, CAN 1x8DI, 1x8DO, 1x4AI, 1X4 AO
Target type: SG3
Runtime version: v2.37
Hint: AR version v2.37 is not installed on this computer. v2.52 will be used instead.
But, this project is had no software.
We try to execute “Open project from target…”. But it show error “No valid Automation studio project file!”
Could you help for backup the old HMI and then restore to the new one.

By default only the compiled binaries are transferred to the controller.
As you have already tried the correct procedure for uploading the source(project) files from the controller and it reported that they are not there, it is not possible to upload the project from the controller.
So, is there any solution to read Binaries file from controller, then write it to the new controller?
