Using runtime utility center for initial IP configuration on PLCs

Hi,

when starting with a factory new controller (in my case a X90 CP174) or after partioning the controller, the ip address is 0.0.0.0.

Using automation studio the IP address can be set and afterwards the project can be installed on the plc.

Is it possible to set the ip address initially with the runtime utility center?

The idea is, that the production employees will have just one tool (the runtime utility center) to install software on factory new PLCs and perform updates on PLCs which have allready software installed.

Thanks for your help!

Hi and welcome @AndreEcke,

using the SNMP feature directly in RUC is not an integrated feature.
But thanks to @christoph.hilchenbac there’s a cool open source windows tool existing on github, that can be used together (or also without) RUC:

Best regards!

Thank you, I’ll give it a try!

hi @AndreEcke what is status/final findings of your issue, can you update us?

Hi, I was not able to test it, because the *.exe file is not downloadable due to company security guidelines (i guess). I will mark the topic als solved, as it should run as proposed. I will give an update, when it is tested by our production staff.
