I have X20 CP0482 with Automation studio 4. I try to give to my plc an ip address with the software bootp/dhcp server from Rockwell with the option “address from dhcp server” in automation studio. Sometimes that’s not work and sometimes yes. When that’s work, I can’t detect the PLC via the menu “online” “setting” when I scan the network. However, I can transfer the configuration and the program. After this step, I set “ip address manually” when the ip address is stored (a ping command is ok).
But if I switch off the power supply, the ip address is lost and the Led R/E is red. The PLC seems doesn’t keep the IP address. I see the request by wireshark from the plc, the ip address is gave and it lost immediateky, after there is no new request from plc. I find a question in this forum “how to connect to a PLC with an unknown ip address” but this procedure doesn’t work.
I don’t find a similar problem here. Someone can help me please ?
