X20 CP1486 Faults

, ,

Good morning,

I have a problem with the PLC x20 CP1486. The leds R/E, RDY/F and S/E are red. It looks like it’s in service mode but maybe it’s not the main issue.

I have tried to restart it. I remove and put back the battery. I restarted PLC without the CF card. Every time I still have this 3 leds in red colour.

Additionally I tried to connect to the plc using IF2/eth port. I didn’t know the ip address so i set the arrows to FF and power on the PLC but I wasn’t able to ping the plc (it should have default ip address 192.168.100.1). The Eth led was on.

What else can I check or how can I connect to PLC to have better diagnostics ?

Hello and welcome to the Community,

Red color isn’t documented for the RDY/F LED in the help, so there is a chance it’s a hardware issue.

You can find a good description of how to find out the PLC IP address with the Community topic. You can also diagnose Service mode by getting a logger from a CF card.
