I recommend double checking the Ethernet settings in your project as this is what gets transferred to the controller (Physical View → right-click on the Ethernet port)
If you want the IP address set statically, make sure to change the mode and set an IP address
If you want to be able to browse for the target, SNMP needs to be activated
You will only be able to connect if your PC is on the same subnet as the PLC, so it would also be a good idea to double check your PC’s Ethernet settings.
It looks like you have an X20CP0484 which does not have removeable memory. Once you have your settings configured correctly, you’ll need to do a USB install to get your project onto the PLC.
If your PLC is stuck in boot mode and you are not able to connect, there may be an issue with something in the project. In this case, it can be helpful to create a new, blank project and install that (after setting the correct IP settings!). This will at least allow you to get online with the target and verify it boots a blank project correctly.
The PLC should show up in the Online → Settings, Browse window in boot mode. It would have an IP address of 0.0.0.0 and you’d be able to connect to it. If that isn’t happening, I’m worried that there may be a hardware problem.
A solid Red R/E light and a solid yellow RDY/F light could mean BOOT or SERVICE mode. However, the PLC should show in the AS “Browse” window in either case as long as SNMP has been activated in the Ethernet settings. Because it’s not, I think there might be something else going on. If you are not able to even connect with a blank project that has the correct Ethernet settings, this might be a hardware problem.
What are the LEDs on the rest of your I/O slices doing? In the picture, it looks like only one slice is powered and I find this strange. But that may just be the case at the time the picture was taken. Do you have a steady 24 volts going to your X20PS9600 module?
If you are unable to connect after installing a blank project via USB and your rack is powered correctly, I recommend you reach out to your local B&R support team.
I think something wrong with harware, the strange is two at the same time??
I bought 5 sets, exactly the same parts, 3 out of the 5 work
since I have all my sensor all ready connected to the modules, the LEDs are showing the status of the hardware connected to it, but the r led on each slice are flashing
yes I have 24 volts to X20PS9600,
I been in contact with loaca B&R support team, they were remote connecteed trough my pc, to all plc, I hope they come up with fix soon
In the Physical View section of your project, please right-click on the Ethernet interface you are using (ETH1 or ETH2) and check the setting as shown in the screenshot I shared. If it is disabled, please enable it and save the changes. After that, close and reopen the project — this may resolve the issue.
