Module is in run condition but showing error. Green light is on and red blinking. issue has arrived in the running machine. Also Term led is not on. Please suggest troubleshooting the same
Hi @sk9132132 ,
Is your module X20IF1041-1? CANopen Master?
Below few notes from Help regarding LED status indicators:
I recommend to start with SytemDump for troubleshooting.

Yes its a CAN Master, I have attached the System Dump, Please Check.
I don’t found anything in System Dump related to X20IF1041-1 Hardware.
Basically architecture would be like this, All 10 Nodes which are PAD400 Controller(HBM) are communicated through IF1041-1 Card. Now all are out network.
Slave Config 1- 10 is True
Slave Diag 1 - 10 is True But Slave State 1 - 10 is False.
And in the Diagnostic Section, It is showing Cable Disconnected.
Should they be cleared first? But all these errors are for OPC UA Node attribute, In this case mapp view should not function well but how did it linked with IF1041-1 Card?
These errors does not have any relation to IF1041-1 Card.
as you said those errors are not related to the CANopen communication, but you should solve them before you ship the machine to your customer
Well this machine is already on site! and this issue comes randomly today when machine was under production, my team which is onsite have done the physical layer debugging
we couldn’t found anything such as connector check, cable check etc. I already have plan to send another IF Card but until then is there something that I can check and troubleshoot.
Hi @sk9132132 ,
from the serial number of X20IF1041-1 you have HW rev C0:

We have new one available C3, but as you see below Effect: None:
=================
Which hw upgrade have you installed in the AS prj?
the latest available is 1.4.0.0
=================
Terminating resistor: Double check in which points, on your CAN network, you have inserted them. Regarding X20IF1041-1 the terminating resistor is integrated:

Hardware Version is 1.2.1.0, I’ll Update this.
The Terminating Resistor is On.
Can you tell me What does Cable Disconnected and Communication state 4 actually mean? Does that mean it is a wiring issue?
My point was to double check how you have installed both terminating resistors on your CAN network
we couldn’t found anything such as connector check, cable check etc.
Could you double check how you wired the shield in all B&R modules? Not only for X20IF1041-1
From hilsher manual, “Cable Disconnected” means the protocol stack has detected a break in communication, due to:
-
Physical Disconnection: cable has been unplugged from the master controller or slave device.
-
Loose or Damaged Connector: the connector is not fully seated, or the pins/latch are damaged, resulting in an intermittent connection.
-
Loss of Link Signal: The device on the other end of the cable (such as an industrial switch, PLC, or remote I/O block) has lost power or rebooted.
-
Cable Failure: Electrical interference (EMI), tight bends, or physical breaks in the cable lines have interrupted the hardware link.
We actually turning On the Terminating resistor and at the end of the bus we connect one 120ohm Resistor(checked at site via multimeter it is showing 120ohm).
We actually not using this 3rd terminal for shield, we are actually using the terminal 1 and connect all device shielding cable to single bolt for shielding.
We are not using the shielding cable for DI/DOs, as we are connecting All modules to Din rail. Also I’ll Crosscheck this Cable Disconnected with my team, also today IF Card
will also to site by end of the day.
Thanks
Dear @valerio.manenti
It was Module issue, after replacing it.
Problem Solved.
Thanks for the knowledge and support.
