X90 CANOpen device not able to connect to CAN interface

Hi,

I’ve imported an .eds file into the devices list, however I can not link it to IF7, IF8 or IF9 since there is no fitting connector according to automation studio. What is the recommended way to control canopen devices using an .eds file? We’re using AS6.3.1.32 and a X90 mobile controller.

Hello and welcome @chielduthmann

the proper way is to use “tools - manage 3rd party devices” and in case of a so called “software master” (which is an AR built in master used on plain CAN interfaces like the CP154) then select “import fieldbus device”
This will import the EDS file and enables the hardware to be inserable on any CAN interface your PLC offers - like the CP154:

As an example I used a drive from company Lenze

If you share the EDS file I could test this

Thanks for the help.
I imported it as an DTM device in my first attempt, importing it as a fieldbus fixed it.
